Here's how the card's earning breaks down:

If you use the Verizon Visa to pay your monthly wireless bill and you enroll for automatic payments and paperless billing, you'll get up to $10 off each eligible account or line per month (up to 10 lines).
New cardholder bonus
The Verizon Visa is offering new cardholders a sign-up bonus of sorts. If you use the Verizon Visa or Verizon Dollars to pay your wireless or Fios bill every month, you can get up to $100 in credit toward your bill over the first 24 months after you open your account.
That breaks down to just $4.17 per billing cycle, and you have to use your Verizon card or Verizon Dollars to pay your bill every month in order to get the full discount.
